My Mum is the most amazing Mum in the world (bias I know). She has taught me so much, bought me up and now is the most fantastic Nana to my son Theo.  So what do you possibly get the most important woman in your life? Flowers just don’t cut the mustard. Alcohol? Well you could be creating bad habits, chocolates? She will only moan your making her gain weight (eye roll).

So when I was invited to go along to enjoy a pamper day and lunch at The Bentalls Centre in Kingston to celebrate mothers Day, I thought what a lovely mother and Daughter day out. With our Mac makeovers booked, our table reserved for lunch and an array of gift ideas all under one roof, this would be the perfect Mothers Day gift for my special Mummy.

Our day started with a makeup tutorial and makeover at MAC cosmetics located in the Bentalls store. We had the wonderful Edith and Marissa work their magic on us. They spoke in-depth about shades, applications and looks before making us go from ‘Meh’ to ‘Milf’.  We learnt some tips of the trade and even some industry secrets on making your makeup last the whole day.  Mum and I were so pleased with our looks we couldn’t wait to show the rest of Kingston how good we looked.

After a little window shopping (mainly for cleaning products) we worked up an appetite for lunch; which was good job really as we could never have predicted the mountain of food we were about to consume.  The Maison Du Mezze is a beautiful Lebanese restaurant just tucked away in the very corner of the Bentalls Centre. Having never been before we were totally blown away by the gorgeous decor and the amazing smell of food. We took our seats, ordered a cocktail (virgin for me) and perused the menu.  Yasser our waiter was so attentive and friendly, he guided us through the menu even giving us some recommendations on what to try. To say the food was delicious would be an understatement. Our taste buds were tantalised and really didn’t know what had hit them. Everything tasted and looked so divine we just didn’t know where to start.  We managed to get through the lot but not before Yasser bought over some baklava for us to try for dessert.

It’s safe to say we needed a crane to carry us out of there.

It’s been a long time since me and Mum have spent time together, without siblings, Husbands and kids, and being here with her felt so special. We had a truly spoilt day.

I can honestly say if you’re looking for somewhere to spoil your loved ones then the Bentalls Centre is the perfect place. They have even rounded up the perfect gifts to spoil your Mum this Mothers Day. From a treat she will treasure forever, or something to make her smile, to a day out, indulging in a spot of shopping and some delicious food, there is something for everyone.

Thank you having us Bentalls Centre and for all the wonderful staff looking after us. Happy Mothers Day!

This was gifted to me as part of a collaboration with The Bentalls Centre, However all opinions are my own.
