To celebrate The Great Oreo Cookie Quest, we were asked by Oreo and BritMums to create our own cookie quest and have some wonder filled family fun. We jumped at the chance. We love a challenge, (we are not competitive at all…) and I asked the boys what they would like to do on their quest. We thought about building dens, visiting some where, but the winner was a treasure hunt. The hunt was completely planned by them, with Oreos along for the ride. Being an out door family, it was perfect for us and the dog came too. Plus it was cheap; a lot of activities with children cost an arm and a leg. This activity ticked all the boxes and cost us nothing.
We made the most of a glorious afternoon and got map making. The route was set around our favourite walk so the children knew it well. Being the ages of 7 and 13 years old, this was ideal for both of them. Creative, imaginative and in the fresh air.
After what seemed forever; my two are perfectionists, we packed the adventure rucksack with snacks and ventured out.

Map in hand, sun in the sky, we went exploring. The maps were brilliant, but in amongst ‘tag’, climbing tress and the ‘floor is laver’, it went a bit ‘off piste’. Never the less they were having a blast.
Whilst they were occupied, I spied an opportunity for X marks the spot and the well deserved ultimate treasure- Oreos. Once they were back on the trail, they saw the prize! A well deserved snack of two Oreos each. Even Chewie tried to get in on the treasure! They both devoured the biscuit in completely different ways, savouring every last bit. Enough fuel to get them home without whinging.

Which way next?
A fantastic afternoon spent together and just being children. Now its over to you, how will you celebrate The Great Oreo Cookie Quest? It is a fun and interactive way to win prizes for the family. Us Oreo fans have the chance of winning a once in the life time wonder filled trip to California and the Googolplex through the promotional packs. So keep an eye out!
