“Your dress should be tight enough to show you’re a woman and loose enough to show you’re a lady”

Tis the season to wear dresses.  With Christmas Parties galore and the time-consuming battle of looking for that perfect outfit, we have compiled a little list of our favourite Party dresses from the high street and online to give you some inspiration on how to WOW your work colleagues and friends.

First Up is this gem, found in Coast in the sale online. Still coming in at £99 but so worth it.  Plus it can be worn for so many other occasions, which makes you feel less guilty about the extravagant purchase.

This striped number from Mango is perfect for a New Year’s house party or dinner.  It can be dressed up with strapy shoes or combined with tights and boots.

Hot on its heels is Missy Empire.  They have some great picks.  There is a lot of clothes to trawl through but it is time well spent.  Really reasonable and good sizing.

Whistles always have a gorgeous selection of dresses too, they are the higher end of the budget, but if you’re looking for quality and something a little different this is definitely one that looks better on.

This black dress was bought from Silk Fred which is an online store that stocks clothes from independent brands. It was comfy and flattering and was a winner hiding any unflattering lumps and bumps.

You can not beat a bit of Zara.  Our go to shop for everything.  As huge fans of leopard print, we had to squeeze one in. Gorgeous sleeves and clinched waist.

Pretty Little Thing

We both saw this dress on a fellow party goer at our Christmas do.  She was quickly high jacked in the toilet for a fashion debrief.  She looked stunning.   This dress is really flattering and nips and tucks in all the right places.

Last but not least, a velvet number from Topshop.  Christmas and new year scream velvet.  Very festive.  Gorgeous one shoulder detail, cheeky length yet sophisticated.
